What it is
Four five-letter words solved at the same time: every guess is entered on all four boards, each board colours it separately, and you have nine guesses to clear them all. Freddie Meyer made it in early 2022, and the dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster has run it since 2023.
Why it's like Wordle
Same word length, same three colours, same one-puzzle-a-day rhythm and a grid to share. If you can play Wordle, you can play Quordle on the first try; it just asks you to keep four sets of clues in your head.
What's different
Four answers and nine guesses instead of one and six. It also has a Chill mode with more guesses, an Extreme mode with fewer and stranger words, a Sequence mode that shows one board at a time, a free Practice mode and a 30-day archive.
